We inspect and test Electrical Equipment to AS3760

In Queensland, making sure your business is complying with Workplace Health & Safety Regulations regarding Electrical Appliances, it is particularly important to ensure your electrical items are regularly inspected and tested to AS3760 (the Australian Standard for Electrical Test & Tagging of Electrical Equipment). FCF technicians are licenced to conduct Electrical Test & Tagging. The business owner or manager will be alerted to any failures to electrical equipment, for which the electrical items must be repaired or replaced.

RCD’s (Residual Current Devices, also known as Safety Switch’s) are also required to be tested in Queensland as per AS3760. The testing involves two tests to be conducted per year. The first test being a push button test which ensures the internals react in a timely manner with no delay to the test facility. A yearly test can be performed by an electrician and or licenced technician. An electrician must have an observer (trained in switchboard rescue), the electrician can remove the switchboard cover and access all the relevant test points efficiently to perform the required yearly test. A non-electrician (licenced technician) will use an RCD test meter to determine if the RCD phases react to below 300ms.
